FAQ

How do I get to the event?
Once you get to Brighton, there are two ways of getting to our campus. Either grab a train from Brighton station to Falmer, and it is a short walk from there. Alternatively, you may want to get a bus from Old Stiene, which is a short walk from Brighton station. From there, you can catch a 25 bus heading to “Universities”, and get off at North South Road when on Sussex University campus. If you’re worried about travelling to the event, please let us know and we can do our absolute best to help you along the way.
I’m worried about joining a team, can you help me out?
Absolutely! If you don’t have a team before coming to the hack, that is no problem at all. Simply join the Slack channel, and have a chat with other attendees, and see if you can get a team sorted. If you are feeling particularly shy, feel free to talk to one of us, and we can try and sort out a team for you. We are aiming to provide a very friendly event, and we are happy to introduce you to everyone and anyone.
How long is the hack?
The hack itself is 24 hours, however our event is more. We aim to begin registering our guests at 10AM on Saturday, and we will have finished the closing ceremony by 5pm on the Sunday. The actual hacking will take place between 12PM and 12PM, Saturday to Sunday.
What food will you serve?
We will be serving everything, taking into consideration all dietary requirements. We will provide standard, vegetarian, vegan meals, as well as lactose free meals and nut free meals. If you have any dietary requirements, please do let us know when you sign up for tickets.
